Lidgerwood Elementary School

This 46,000 sf replacement school occupies a small site between an active post war residential neighborhood and a thriving retail and medical community. The character of interior forms and colors recognizes the range of ages that the school serves and the importance the community places on adult participation in childhood education. The project was one of three national finalists for the Council of Educational Facilities Planners International's MacConnell award, which recognizes a comprehensive planning process that results in a high quality facility that serves the needs of students, staff, and the community while enhancing student achievement.
