Is passionate and eager to explore new uses for common everyday materials, and enjoys going on architectural tours to Europe and Asia.

Special interest in Asian architecture, and how popular culture influences design.

Enjoys camping and kayaking with friends and family.

Graduated from Washington State University in 1984 with degrees in Architecture and Construction Management.

Diverse background ranging from construction laborer to award winning design.

Is LEED accredited.

Has extensive experience in various project delivery types both as an architect and project manager.

Has survived coaching kid's softball.

Walt Huffman, AIA

Architect

Graduate of the University of Idaho earning Bachelor of Architecture.

Experience designing diverse projects ranging from multi-phase commercial facilities to healthcare projects.

Has a strong work ethic and is dedicated to creating quality designs.

Is detail oriented with a thorough understanding of the construction process.

Owns a 1970 Charger he calls "Marge."

Sara Clark

Interior Designer

Earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Washington Sate University and is NCIDQ certified.

Implements quality design details and creative use of materials and finishes in every design.

Enjoys working on all stages of a project from the initial programming and design through final construction.

Drew her first floor plan when she was eight years old.

Loves camping, kayaking, and just relaxing!

Jeff Lane

Associate AIA

Graduate of the University of Idaho earning Bachelor of Architecture.

Thorough knowledge of the principles of design on projects ranging from commercial to government spaces.

Enjoys projects that include a site and landscaping emphasis relating to the building envelope.

Diverse work history allows for a fresh perspective on design approach.

Deeply rooted in the local community car culture.

Heidi Pierce

Associate AIA

Graduate of Washington State University earning Bachelor of Architecture.

Experience in managing projects in all phases of design and construction.

Experience in a range of projects from commercial to residential with an interest in sustainable design.

Enjoys coordination on projects with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.

Spends her free time on hobbies such as entertaining 2 young children, playing with 2 young children and chasing after 2 young children.

Serves as a Trustee of the Empire Health Foundation and First Presbyterian Church of Reardan.

Has a secret life as a ranch wife helping manage 250+ goats and sheep, four dogs and a llama.

Melissa Erickson

Experience producing design documents and managing multiple projects in all stages of design and construction.

Enjoys working on projects from conception through to completion.

Enjoys hiking, camping and canoeing.

Jennifer Cox

Business Manager

Graduate of Eastern Washington University.

Bachelor Degrees in Finance, Business Economics, General Management and Human Resource Management.

Manages MMEC's marketing efforts in addition to business management responsibilities.

Diverse background enables quick adaptation to the needs of MMEC and MMEC's clients.

Free time is spent reining in the "pack" including her four dogs, two kids, and one unruly husband.

Corey Zachow

Intern Architect

Graduate of Washington State University earning Bachelor of Architecture.

Brings extensive knowledge of technology, computer software and design to MMEC.

Employs the creative use of water and glass in nearly every design project.

Special interest in Urban Design and the development of community interaction.

Love of art influenced his desire to become an architect.

Joseph Hampton

Intern Architect

Earned Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Washington State University; currently pursuing a Masters degree.

Focus in Urban Design and Downtown Development, as well as Stadium and Event Venue Architecture.

Has a special interest in historic preservation.

Enjoys water sports and was a member of the WSU Men's Crew Team.

Hobbies include cooking and photography.

Marian Evenson, ASID

Serves on the board of the Washington State University Interdisciplinary Design Institute.

Enjoys working closely with user groups to create an accurate program that reflects client needs.

Areas of expertise range from programming and space planning to materials selection and furnishings specification.

Lives for spending long summer weekends at the lake with family and friends.

Boyd Lusarreta, AIA

Experience in a broad range of project types and sizes.

Understands the construction process and creates designs and documents that are construction friendly.

Has interests in residential design and adaptive reuse of existing buildings.
